Once again I have not received any information with my wife and her status. I have requested multiple times to get a call back, only to get nothing. I have begun the process to reach out to Fox 4 News, Channel 9 News, and channel 41 news in order to get the word out. Let people know of the lack of communication and gross negligence that Saint Luke’s East has been giving my wife since August 22nd. The fact that I cannot even go in to see my wife and advocate for her it’s sickening. I will give you an example. St Luke’s East has a policy which I never knew when I first arrived. Their policy is if somebody has covid-19, no one from the family is allowed in during the whole process. But if there is a situation where a health decision has to be made, the supervisor has the ability to break policy just to bring them in. That happened to me twice. First time I was called in there, I actually got to see her. The second time I was asked to come in, but I told him I was not going to make a decision of any sort about a ventilator. Because I did that, the supervisor said fine then you’re not coming in. As an advocate for my wife since August 22nd, I have been unable to do my job to ensure that she is getting the proper care that is needed as she recovers through covid-19. The emotional suffering I have been going through has been overwhelming energy-consuming. I am literally working for my wife 24 hours a day 7 days a week just trying to make sure that she has the best possible care. I am not getting anywhere. Hopefully the fact that I reached out to 3 news media stations, to attempt to get some sort of story publicized, will make a difference on how patients are treated while they recover or are treated with covid-19.
