The Battle Continues

Posted on August 31, 2021November 4, 2022 by

Has been a continual struggle to get any communication back to me on the status of my wife until about 11 maybe a little before I finally got a call back from my wife’s nurse. Letting me know the status and the prognosis of my wife. I have been moving her around on her side and on her belly to get her oxygen levels back up. So have a great time Restorations have been elevated. They’re currently at 88 pulse and 42 respirations. I finally got to talk to the doctor as well. She finally explain to me what’s been going on. At 11:48 this morning they gave her a dose of Lasix to try and take the fluid off of her lungs. I’m not sure why they did not do that in the first place. This evening they plan on giving her a TPN via IV. TPN stands for Total Parenteral Nutrition. Again I am not even sure why they didn’t do that in the first place. The only thing I can think of is because the fluid on her lungs.

I finally got a response for possibly video conferencing with my wife, the unfortunate thing about it is as she’s so weak she doesn’t want to talk or even video conference. It’s not like that I haven’t seen her in the BiPAP like I did on Tuesday of last week. I’m hoping to be able to video conference with her tomorrow after the tpn actually gets a chance to work through her body. Hopefully the Lasix they put in her will get rid of the fluid that is in your lungs as well as around other areas of her body.

Currently I have 41 Action News in the process of putting together the Baseline of the news article that they are going to post. I think at this point in time I will proceed, mainly to make aware of everything that has been going on. Depending on the response what’s a facility is whether or not we do a regular written article, or we do a video.

I realize the fact that our nurses are struggling and they’re completely spread thin. There’s a phrase out there that says everything rises and falls with leadership. This is not a nurse issue, nor a doctor issue, but this is a leadership issue.

Maybe to FaceTime or something needs to be explained how much it will ease you to just see her. She don’t have to say anything or respond. The visual is huge. I’m wondering if music would help her. Can they play some music that would be comforting and soothing? Not loud but softly play.
