I received a call from my wife’s doctor yesterday afternoon. It was nothing but good news! The doctor told me but she is cautiously saying that my wife is on her way to recovery. There is still that possibility of covid rearing its ugly head back up again because it’s so unpredictable.
I could not sleep last night. I was up a couple of times. I did check my wife’s vitals. Her oxygen was as low as 87 last night that I saw. I am sure they probably bumped her oxygen back up. They had it set about 80%. As I have stated before, the body goes to a bare minimum at night. That is ok if they had to bump it up a little bit, we are still going in the right direction. The nurse and the doctor both said that that would happen. It is just going to take some time to get her down to that point at night. She is definitely a fighter.
I miss her terribly. I know that before I know it, she will be home. Days seem like years when you don’t have your loved one around.
Please continue to pray that she can get off that BiPAP during the day. It will definitely help her be more comfortable. Having that mask on all hours of the day can drive me absolutely insane. Even more so for her since she is claustrophobic. I think I would be the same way and I am not even claustrophobic. I’m hoping and praying that this experience has not enhanced her claustrophobia. My wife means the world to me. I am not sure how I could function without her in my life. I can barely do things now that she normally does. I spent a lot of time yesterday trying to get the checkbook balanced. The numbers in the check register do not match what is in bank account. So I’m on the hunt to figure out what exactly is going on. That is probably going to mean I’m going to have to go in to previous registers find out if there’s some things that just have not cleared yet or maybe there is some things that were missing that should have been added. Either way I think that’ll be my busy work for the weekend. Keep my mind off the situation. At least I show Less in my check register than I do at my bank. That may mean that we may be missing some deposits somewhere. That is the only thing that could have happened.
I have spent very little money since my wife has been in the hospital mainly because I haven’t had any need to go anywhere. I have shot up to Price Chopper a couple of times just to get some more coffee, and some odds and ends.
The only thing really I had to do, upgrade my phone because I believe the battery is really dying a hard and painful death. With my wife in the hospital it is my lifeline to find out information and I don’t want to end up with no phone.
